There is exciting news for Murphy FUMC. This month there were two new positions created for the youngest members of our congregation. These positions of Youth and Children's Directors will be used to nurture and grow our youth membership and bring our children closer to God through fellowship, song, and service work.
Mr. Davis Bryant will be joining our church as the Youth Director. Davis comes to us from Murphy Bible Church where he worked as the Youth Director. Davis is an employee of Cherokee County Schools where he's involved with activities both during the school day and after. Davis has jumped right into his new role and has already begun to have meetings with the Alpha group on Sunday evenings. Please stay tuned to our Facebook page for announcements about upcoming Alpha activities.
Ms. Jennifer White will be our Children's Director for children up to 5th grade. Jennifer has been a member of Murphy FUMC for 4 years along with her husband Matt and son Andrew. Jennifer is currently the Sunday school teacher for the birth-4th grade class. Jennifer will be heading up the Kids For Christ group in addition to her current Sunday school and VBS duties. KFC will begin the first week of September. She is an employee of Cherokee County Schools where she serves as Technology Director. Please like our Facebook page to get notifications about the KFC group activities.
Murphy FUMC is excited and prayerful for these new Directors. If you would like to help with these ministries you can contact the church office at 828-837-2718. Please pray for all of our youth and children that God would work through them and in them. God Bless
